We recently updated our Honeyfund to allow Paypal donations!

As you know, we're very lucky to have a beautiful little tiki house with all of the appliances and furniture that we need! By donating to our Honeyfund, you can help send us on our first adventure as a married couple! Please take a look at some of the fun activities that we have lined up for our UK Honeymoon!

Tobermory Distillery

Thanks to Deb, Mark, Katie, and Emily for sending us to the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull! We are incredibly excited to check out this award-winning distillery after we visit Duart Castle and have dinner in the small fishing town!

The Filling Station

Thank you Chaz Dunn for sending us to eat at The Filling Station! We are going to have breakfast here before going to take pictures of Edinburgh from the Dugald Stewart Monument, The views from the hill are spectacular, and you can see the castle perfectly from across the city!

The Frankenstein and Our Edinburgh Hotel Are Booked!

Dearest Capote Family: Thank you so much for helping us stay in the beautiful and historic city of Edinburgh! We picked a great hotel that is a 5 minute walk to a monster themed restaurant called Frankenstein, as well as an instrument museum! We can't wait to check these places out!

The Frankenstein

Edinburgh Castle

Thank you to The Lacabas for sending us to see Edinburgh Castle!  She was known as The Pearl of Scotland. We will be able to see this beautiful castle from where we are staying in Old Town, and are looking forward to checking out the gardens and the relics!

...and just for Bob, a little useless trivia:

St. Margaret died in the castle in 1093. Mary Queen of Scots removed St. Margaret's head in 1560, and brought it back to Edinburgh Castle from Dunfermline Abbey to "assist her in childbirth" (gross). It then somehow ended up in France, but was lost during the French Revolution. The rest of the remains were brought to Spain by Phillip II, but cannot be found. Mary was beheaded by her cousin, Queen Elizabeth, in 1587.

Durham Cathedral

Thank you SO much, Nona, for sending us to see Durham Cathedral, which was built in 1093! We get to walk through the corridors of Hogwarts and see the beautiful town surrounding it! First, we get on a train in Glasgow and we get to ride it down the east coast of Scotland, into England, and right over to Durham. Then we get to go to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and grab a pint at a pub called Pleased To Meet You, and fly to London from there. We are really excited about this one!

Tower Of London

Jen's dad is sending us to The Tower of London!
(Of course he chose this one)

We get to see the Poppy moat!

And the Tower Bridge!

And take the Ghost Tour after hours!

Castle Doune

A special thanks goes out to the Lacaba Family for sending us off to see Castle Doune in Scotland! Castle Doune has been the filming location of Winterfell in the Game of Thrones series, it played both Camelot and Castle Anthrax in Monty Python and The Holy Grail, and it was also featured in a Capote favorite, Outlander. We will be taking the audio guide, given by Python, Terry Jones.

Vauxhall Astra

Wish us luck on the other side of the road! We rented a Vauxhall Astra to drive from the east coast to the west coast of Scotland, then back down to Glasgow!
